Slack and link

Hello everyone, sorry to have been slack in blogging, but we have had a rather hectic week. Laurence has had a major operation on his spine, which was very worrying, and is in hospital the other side of Leeds (miles away), and my Mum was taken into casualty last week, so is in hospital as well, but a different one, in Halifax. So, Toby and i have been spending hours travelling in the evenings after school and work, eating sandwiches for dinner in the car, and visiting hospitals.
On a more positive note, more fame!! our blogging friend, Karen, has added a link to Toby's 'Attrills' range, on her website, have a look here:

Thanks Karen!
Penny.

I'm so sorry to hear about your husband and mum. It is very tiring flitting from hospital to hospital isn't it, you just long to get back to normal? I hope your husband's operation was a success.

Hi Penny and Toby,
Hope everyone is ok. My Grandma was in hospital for 3 months and we went to see her as much as possible, so I can really sympathise with how tiring it can be (as well as worrying). x

Thanks to everyone for the kind words.
Laurence has survived his op, dont know how successful it is yet, he is in a lot of pain.
My Mum is still in hospital as well, they have had a gastric outbreak and ward is closed, so we have not visited her for a few days, just not worth the risk of infecting Laurence, though I do feel sorry for my Mum there by herself.
Toby and I are OK, tired, and fed up with 4 hours in the car each day. I am getting behind with my work.
G, your 'moaning' doesnt have to have 'perspective' as you said, we all go through different things, there is no comparison, your feelings are just as valid.
Penny.

Oh Penny I'm so sorry, you must be soo very worried. It was bad enough visiting one hospital before Stuart was discharged let alone two. Hope things settle down for you and your family soon. Best wishes to your husband and your Mother. And do take the advice that was given to me and that is to try and take a little time for yourself (no matter how small).
