Delivery time

Now the Christmas Fayre is over Toby has sorted through all his jewellery, ready to take to the shops. This is where I come in, carrier pigeon? no, Penny's taxi service!!

Yesterday we took a range of earrings to one shop, and 'The Orb Collection' Toby's new sterling silver range we showed you before, to another. This afternoon I drove Toby to Hebden Bridge for an appointment with Spirals, who took lots of his work, including some felt and button bracelets, which they really liked, and wanted more! (see above). On Saturday he delivers his felt dangly brooches to another shop, and on Sunday Laurence is driving us all to Bradford for a curry, and on the way, another delivery to a gallery in Thornton.

There are still a few more pieces to sort out, a couple of possible new outlets, but most of it will be done this week. Phew! wish he did have a carrier pigeon ! The pigeon above, by the way, is a present from Caroline, if you havent visited her blog yet, pop over, have a look, do some Christmas shopping perhaps - she makes some lovely things: http://uniqart.blogspot.com/

Toby's Christmas Fayre stall

Here's photo's of Toby's school Christmas Fayre. He shared the stall with his friend Emily who made some cute little phone charms, badges, and lovely bracelets. Toby took a huge selection of things that he has made over the last year or so, and sold them at special reduced rates just for that day.

In the first photograph (click to enlarge) you can see both Toby and Emily wearing their own creations, Emily's necklace, and Toby's badge on his trilby hat.

We had a good time and both Toby and Emily did really well.

dangled felts with button

Hi,
I was commissioned to make these brooches for a shop in Hebden Bridge. The great thing about this shop is that they buy the jewellery from me, rather than having it on sale, or return.
The felt bases of the brooches are made by wetting the merino wool-tops, then rolling them round, and round in your hands, until felted. The 'dangles' are made from hemp, and various reclaimed, and bought beads.
I then chose a pretty button to go in the centre, and sewed the whole thing together with a brooch pin on the back.
I've still got 3 more left to make!
If anyone would like to buy one, these in particular, are reserved, but i can make them in any colour or style - email me at; info@naturalattrill.co.uk
