Tiddley blue dish

This is a tiny blue dish i recently made at my ceramics class. I made it by flattening out a circle of clay and then pressing it over an up-turned underglaze pot to make the shape, it was then biscuit fired. I sanded it smooth and gave the outside a coat of matte black glaze and the inside a coat of light blue glaze. After a second firing i decided it needed another coat of glaze, and i also sprinkled some crushed blue glass in the bottom, and it was fired, yet again!

That there beady thing hanging off of a mug stand

I bought a mug stand in our local Sue Ryder charity shop, and painted it black to use as a jewellery display. It is now modelling one of my necklaces! A new bead shop has recently opened up in the centre of town, which is where i bought the large opalescent glass bead in the middle of the necklace, it is flanked by reclaimed freshwater pearls, vintage and new glass beads, and peacock coloured seed beads, finished off with a sterling silver clasp. It is quite a short necklace.

If anyone is intrested in it, it is £12 plus p+p. Please email me at info@naturalattrill.co.uk

commissions taken!

I made this for my Uncle Vincent (V) who likes football (Arsenal = red+white).
It's a present for his birthday, he doesnt have a computer to see this, so it won't spoil the suprise.
I also made one for my Grandad in brown and white, a losenge shape, with stripes painted around the edge in acrylics, and his initials, LMJ, inbedded in polymer clay, he uses it as a keyring.
commissions taken! email me at: info@naturalattrill.co.uk

Toby and Laurence go to a ceramics class every 2 weeks, and here is a pic of one of Toby's latest creations, his 'Fragon'. You can see the size of the piece in the top photo where he is holding it, the second shows the overall shape, next the head with its little ears and long nose, and finally a close up of the texture and colours.

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Happy New Year to everyone! and a BIG thank you to Toby for this lovely little fish necklace. I have had my eye on it for a few days now, whilst watching development from a block of clay, paper and pens, a new style for Toby, to finally its transformation into a cute little pendant, and now it's mine!!
